Historical Background, In 1967, when our company was first established, we started out by selling fishing gear and assembling gill nets and trawl nets for the capture bottom-dwellers and shrimp. It was then mostly for traditional fishing purposes. At the end of the 70"s, the company began making all kinds of fishing gear for scientific purposes. Our gear has been used not only by biologists, for the inventory and the capture of different fish species, but also by universities for research. Therefore, we've acquired an expertise in the assembling and installation of trap nets. Moreover, we've also done some work in Northern Quebec regarding salmon and arctic char fishing. Some of our gear for walleye and brook trout fishing is standardized by the Ontario and Quebec Environnement Ministries.
